There’s a certain joie de vivre to an early spring wedding that’s unlike any other season. It’s getting to spend time with your nearest and dearest as the doldrum of winter finally breaks. It’s witnessing a blossoming of a new chapter in a couples life as the tulips do the same thing out in your yard. It’s the feeling of seeing a rainbow appear in the sky. So magical! And that’s exactly what Emily + Anthony’s dreamy Wave Resort wedding was and inspired by (and just wait, their first wedding dance is straight out of a fairy tale!)

Before their ceremony, Emily + Anthony had their first look on the gorgeous Long Branch beach at Pier Village. The cotton candy colors in the sky could not have been more perfect as the wedding party frolicked on the sugar sand.
Pastel Rainbow Wedding Party
Emily’s dreamy heart shaped bridal bouquet was designed to be as soft and romantic as her delicate lace Rene by Flora wedding gown from Bridal Atelier Montclair. Emily’s favorite flower is a ranunculus. Our couple could not have picked a better wedding date as NJ grown ranunculus season is in full swing during April! We sourced incredible dusty pink Ariadne butterfly ranunculus and peach Clooni ranunculus from our amazing local flower farmers at Jersey Cut Flower Market. Anthony’s ranunculus pocket square boutonniere coordinated with Emily’s bouquet and truly popped against his crisp black tuxedo.
The groomsmen wore traditional boutonnieres with textures and focal flowers, each finished with a lovely silk tie accent. To match the feel of the wedding party’s beautiful mismatched bridesmaids dresses while maintaining a cohesive look, Jessamine designed monobloom bridesmaids bouquets to hold. Each bridesmaid carried one type of flower, which was echoed in the reception centerpiece design.
Ceremony With An Ocean View
A Wave Resort ceremony has one of the best ocean views you can ask for at a Jersey Shore wedding venue. Jessamine designed pockets of lush rainbow florals on low gold pillar stands to accent Emily + Anthony to make sure the view and the couple were front and center.
Spring Flower Centerpieces
The soft rainbow color palette was drawn from the wedding party attire and carried throughout the whole wedding design. Centerpieces alternated between a collection of monobloom bud vases with green votive candles and ikebana styled arrangements inspired by rainbows and fluffy clouds in the sky. We featured some of the best NJ locally grown spring flowers, such as these Jonquieres double tulips at the bar (in a specially sourced fish dish as a nod to Anthony’s love of fishing). One of our favorite details from the night was at Emily + Anthony’s sweetheart table, where we highlighted the bridesmaids bouquets to create a mossy garden floor installation.
Emily + Anthony’s wedding literally had us dancing Cloud 9. We loved collaborating with them to help create the garden fairy tale wedding of their dreams at the Wave Resort. Emily kindly reviewed her experience with Jessamine, saying, “Working with Jessamine for our weddings was one of the best decisions we made!! Jillian is so nice and easy to work with.
